Bible Reading for February 21 (ONPP)
Leviticus 24 – 25, Proverbs 8
Leviticus 24:15 – Christ died to bear our sins but this type of person will bear their own sin for eternity. This fellow that blasphemed God was ungrateful for God’s provision and protection as those that turn away from Christ are ungrateful for God’s provision for or sin.
Leviticus 25:8 – After some time Israel forgot this command and were sent away to Babylon for 70 years to fulfill the Sabbath years that they forgot. This 70 years also represents the Sabbaths that are between the time of the call to go back to the promised land and the coming of the Christ which represents the Year of Jubilee, the year of liberty.
Leviticus 25:23 – The land belongs to God and His people are tenants with the right of possession, transfer, and inheritance. The land is meant for His people and is to remain in their control in perpetuity.
Proverbs 8:8 – True wisdom is morally right and justified.
Proverbs 8:9 – When you have wisdom wise words are like “well yeah” but wisdom would not encourage you to voice that feeling.
Proverbs 8:13 – It is wise to have great respect for God. Notice that pride is the first state of mind that is associated with evil.
Proverbs 8:17 – Seek wisdom early in your life so that you will not grow old as a fool.
Proverbs 8:22 – Wisdom was not created but existed as part of God before time began.
