Proverbs 11 – 13, Psalms 31
Proverbs 11:1 – Thou shall not bare false witness to thy neighbor.
Proverbs 11:7 – To the wicked this earth will be the only heaven they will experience but to those that repent and turn to God this earth will be the only part of hell they will experience.
Proverbs 11:8 – This gives an interesting parallel to being saved and lost.
Proverbs 11:11 – Who are the leaders in our time that have strong cities and who preside over fallen cities?
Proverbs 11:16, Proverbs 14:1, Proverbs 21:9, Proverbs 21:19, Proverbs 25:24, Proverbs 27:15. Proverbs 9:13,
Proverbs 11:31 – Being rewarded on earth is not necessarily a good thing.
Luke 16:22–23 – And so the rich man died and was buried and lifted up his eyes in hell.
Proverbs 12:27 – KJV – The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
Proverbs 13:6 – This reminds me of the woman in Proverbs 7:13 that had just paid her peace offerings and was tempting a young man to come to her because her husband was away.
Proverbs 13:7 – You can save more money by not living an extravagant life.
Proverbs 13:13 – This is one of the many verses that show us our relationship to God. If we despise the Word, described by John as The Christ, we will be destroyed. If we fear the commandments of God to honor Him we will receive His reward.
Proverbs 13:16 – God says that His people are destroyed by the lack of knowledge in Hosea 4:6 and referred to in Ecclesiastes 12:9, Jeremiah 4:22 and in Luke 1:77 about the prophesy of John the Baptist being the preacher of the Gospel.
Psalms 31:1 – Never being ashamed, never thinking that He will not be with you, never letting your pride (shyness in my case) getting in your way of telling them about the things God has done for you and what He has prepared for you.
Psalms 31:5 – Only you can commit your spirit to the Lord. Others do not have control of your spirit. That is why we are to have a personal relationship with God.
