I Corinthians 1:1 – Paul references Christ or God in 152 verses in I Corinthians with many multiple times. There are 16 references in just the first 10 verses and 38 in the first chapter.I Corinthians 1:10 – So many people get their information about God's Word form sources that are not based on God's Word. These lies of Satan, as he also told Eve, are designed to divide us from the truth.
I Corinthians 1:13 – Can anyone but Christ pay the ransom of the debt of our sin? NO!
I Corinthians 1:17 – What good is being dunked under water without trusting in God's provision for our salvation? Some physical dirt may come off but Naaman thought the command of Elisha to dip in the Jordan River was foolish, yet by faith he did seven times and was healed.
I Corinthians 1:23 – Why is it a stumbling block to the Jews? They had the entire history of scripture to see this is God's plan. Yet, because of their pride of their heritage and position they could not believe.
I Corinthians 1:25 – Our pride keeps us from recognizing God. He is wiser and stronger because He Is God.
I Corinthians 1:28 – In man's 'wisdom' he chooses to follow after things that do not last and things that are harmful rather than follow after eternal truth.
1 Corinthians 1:29 – There is none righteous, no not one. We owe everything to God for He chose us form before the foundation of the Earth.
I Corinthians 2:3 – Seems that Paul shows the same outlook of teaching as James describes in chapter three.
I Corinthians 2:7 – God does not change because He predetermined His plan before creation.
I Corinthians 2:12 – It is not through our efforts to study that we know about God it is through God's grace to us that He reveals Himself through His Spirit in His Word.
I Corinthians 3:3 – God has given me so much in this year's study and yet He shows me that I am still a babe, being pulled by my own desires.
1 Corinthians 3:8 – Paul is not saying do not plant and do not water, Paul is assuming that is what we are supposed to do. It is still God that brings the profitability to our work in His name.
I Corinthians 3:15 – Even the weakest of believers are accepted; though our works may not stand we will still be honored sons.
