II Chronicles 16 – 18, Psalms 142
II Chronicles 16:7 – The BIG IF is set in place here Asa did not seek God and God has allowed Syria to be a thorn in the side of Judah from here on.
II Chronicles 16:10 – The heart of Asa began to truly show he was not dedicated to God but knew God was real and did what he thought would bring God’s favor to his reign.
II Chronicles 16:12 – God continually gives us another chance to turn from our pride and to Him for our needs.
II Chronicles 16:14 – He prepared for himself not for God.
II Chronicles 17:4 – The BIG IF begins again with Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat begins to seek after God and teach the people. The fear of God fell upon the surrounding nations and Juda was at peace. There was a large army, well trained, but nowhere to use it. There was peace.
II Chronicles 18:28 – Ahab did not seek God and knew in his heart that this was wrong yet he went into battle anyway.
