Numbers 31 – 33, Psalms 59
Numbers 31:4 – Even though the population ratios differed they were each to provide an equal numbers of soldiers.
Numbers 31:8 – Balaam has now paid for his disobedience to God.
Numbers 31:16 – If you killed the prophet Balaam why would you keep alive the ones that enticed the sin and death of 24,000 of your brethren?
Numbers 31:27 – The spoils of the battle were divided between the soldiers and the congregation. The tax levied on the soldiers was 0.2% and the tax levied on the congregation was 2.0% of what they had taken. (Only the smaller part was needed for the priests and the tabernacle while a larger part was used for support of the Levites.)

Numbers 31:48–54 – After killing probably 40,000 men in battle with an army of 12,000 men not a single Israelite warrior was killed. That prompted the men to give an offering of 16,750 shekels of gold. This amounts to over twice the amount that would have been necessary if a census was taken of the men.
Numbers 32:17 – This tribes of Reuben and Gad have found a place that is good for their economy and want to make it a home but they will go and fight for their brethren to have a place.
Numbers 32:33 – Evidently there was a large part of the tribe of Manasseh that also wanted to have a home on the East side of the Jordan River.
Numbers 33:55 – The BIG If comes in here. If you do not drive them out then they will be trouble. Do your research and make provision for those that misrepresent themselves otherwise you will receive the destruction meant for them.
