Psalms 119:133 Order my steps in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.
Bible Reading for March 16 (ONPP)
Deuteronomy 7 – 10, Psalms 64
Deuteronomy 7:1 – Six of these will band together with the Hivites to fight Israel in Joshua 9. Only the Girgashites are not mentioned but they were included in the retelling of the battle in Joshua 24:11. Because something or someone is not mentioned does not mean that it’s not in existence in that instance.
Deuteronomy 7:2 – However those that lived in Gibeon were not mentioned but were intended to be destroyed also.
Deuteronomy 7:3 – Being unequally yoked is like having a tire out of alignment. It’s difficult to stay on the road and both will have excessive wear due to their different directions being yoked together. If there is not an experienced driver to keep it on the road it could easily veer away from the intended direction.
Deuteronomy 7:8 – God does not choose us because we are special in man’s eyes, He chooses us because He loves us.
Deuteronomy 7:9 – WOW! a thousand generations to those that Love Him. There hadn’t been that many since Adam.
Deuteronomy 7:10 – Those that hate Him, those that do not listen to Him and keep His commandments, have made their decision and are individually dealt with.
Deuteronomy 7:12–16 – These verses show the positive results of trusting and following God’s plan.
Deuteronomy 7:17 – When you doubt, remember God’s works heretofore.
Deuteronomy 7:22 – Wow, we should expect less trouble from people than from the beasts of the field.
Deuteronomy 7:25 – Don’t even covet the riches of those that worship other gods so to keep your reliance on Jehovah and trusting in His plan. When Jesus cast out demons and they affirmed that He is the Son of God He told them to be quiet. He wouldn’t let them speak even if they were telling the truth.
Deuteronomy 8:3 – Again trusting God by faith. Also the quote Jesus used to rebuke Satan’s invitation of turning stones to bread.
Deuteronomy 8:4 – An example of God’s care for you.
The basis of your faith.
The historical evidence of why you can have faith.
Deuteronomy 8:7–10 – Again examples of what God says He will do, He does.
Deuteronomy 8:12–14 – Like seed sewn in the thorns and weeds, gets choked out.
Deuteronomy 8:19 – The whole World is heading this way today.
Deuteronomy 9:1–6 – Not Israel’s righteousness but God’s.
Deuteronomy 9:4 – Pride goes before a fall.
Deuteronomy 9:7 – It is not because you are righteous but because God wants it.
Deuteronomy 9:18 – Intercessory Prayer.
Deuteronomy 10:12–13 – This is another example of the Greatest Commandment.
Deuteronomy 10:16 – As circumcision was an outward sign for God’s people, the circumcision of our heart should show that we are God’s people by how we obey His commands.
Psalms 64 – Yes Lord! These backbiters and spreaders of false tales are crafty but You my Lord confuse their speech and reveal their plot so that they are lost in their own narrative and people flee to Your righteous representatives.
Psalms 64:7 – God is in control of casting lots as well as random arrows.
2Ch 18:33 And a certain man drew a bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joinings and the breastplate. And he said to the charioteer, Turn your hand, and you shall bring me out of the army, for I am wounded.
