Luke 1:3 – This letter has been thoroughly researched to be presented in chronological order.
Luke 1:17 – The fulfilment of the promise in Malachi 4:5 one place among many.
Luke 1:18 – Zacharias should not have questioned the angel because he had the example of Abraham and Sarah being old and having a child through God’s plan.
Luke 1:23 – It is interesting that even though he became mute they allowed him to complete his service. It could be because of it occurring while he was in the holy place it was considered to be a holy infirmity. It had been commanded that any man with a deformity was not allowed in the temple.
Lev 21:18 For no man in whom there is a blemish shall draw near, a blind man, or a lame man, or disfigured, or deformed,
Lev 21:19 or a man that is broken–footed, or broken–handed,
Lev 21:20 or crook–backed, or a crushed one, or who has a blemish in his eye, or a scurvy or scabbed person, or one with crushed testicles.

Luke 1:34 – Mary was young and there was never an instance when a virgin had given birth to a child so this new thing was explained to her.
Luke 1:36 – Elizabeth was a cousin to Mary, Elizabeth was of the daughters of Aaron, I wonder if Mary’s mother was from the descendants of Aaron also, we don’t know. However this does make John a cousin of Jesus. Possibly the closeness of this relationship continued as the boys grew up.
Luke 1:41 – Wow! To be filled with the Holy Spirit in the womb is amazing! Yet John was a son through Adam and the curse of sin is on him also.
Luke 1:64 – A prophecy fulfilled.
Luke 1:67 – Zechariah’s Prophecy glorifies God, His faithfulness and John’s place in preparing Israel for Jesus’s ministry.
