Bible Reading for March 7 (ONPP)
Numbers 24 – 26, Proverbs 10
Numbers 24:9 – Strike three Balak, God is not playing your game and Balaam is being true to God’s Word.
Numbers 24:17 – The Scepter of Israel is the Christ the King of Kings, the Son of God to rule with an iron rod and a sword.
Numbers 24:24 – The Umpire (God) has called you and your team out Balak and Balaam is being true.
Numbers 25:1 – Do not enter into the celebrations of those that go against God. There is no common ground there is no discourse because they go against God. There can only be debate to support the truth that God gives us. Some may ask why God’s truth is valid but the answer is because He is God.
Numbers 25:3 – Sin will take you farther than you want to go, cost you more than you want to pay, and keep you longer than you want to stay.
Numbers 25:13 – One action in support of God’s word was the example of the life of learning the Holiness of God. This action confirmed that his heart was totally for God and his posterity was rewarded, even possibly being an ancestor of Mary and then Christ because this verse says ”an everlasting priesthood”.
Numbers 26:2 – Here is a second numbering of Israel. Remember that the people were to pay a ransom of half of a shekel for each man counted.
Numbers 26:33 – Don’t forget this family it will show up again.
Numbers 26:51 – In Exodus 30:12 God requires that those counted must pay half a shekel each so this provides another 30,865 shekels for provision of the tabernacle and to the Levites taking care of it.

This count does not show the women, probably just as many, or children, probably twice as many, and there would not be many over 60 just Joshua Calab and Moses, plus the mixed multitude, and all the Levites, still giving us almost 2.5 million people ready to take possession of the land promised to them by God.
Numbers 26:62 – Added to the count of Israelites were the 23,000 Levites that did not pay a ransom for the counting nor was there an inheritance in the land for them plus half again as many women.
Numbers 26:65 – 601,730 men from 20 years old and upward that were not numbered when they left Egypt, plus Levites, 23,000, plus women, and children.
Proverbs 10:2 – Is there a hint of resurrection in this verse? David also thought of resurrection when the son of sin with Bathsheba died.
Proverbs 10:12 – This is so true. So many people try to stir up trouble because they have no love (compassion).
Proverbs 10:25 – Evil does not have a firm foundation but the moral have a foundation in God.
Proverbs 10:29 – As Christ is the aroma of life for a believer, Christ is also the aroma of death for the unbeliever. God set one path to eternal life and let all other paths lead to destruction. We are to follow the one path through Jesus to life.
