II Timothy 2:15 Study earnestly to present yourself approved to God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
Bible Reading for November 10 (ONPP)
Daniel 3, Psalms 119
Daniel 3:1–7 – Some time after the dream Nebuchadnezzar’s pride takes over. Because he is the head of gold he builds a golden statue for people to worship instead of the God of Heaven that gave the dream and the revelation of it.
Daniel 3:26 – God has given Nebuchadnezzar a second chance to worship Him instead of a idol or himself.
Daniel 3:29 – God had originally called for stoning for those that would speak against Him but Nebuchadnezzar would have them cut into pieces.
Daniel 3:30 – Notice that Daniel is not mentioned in this chapter. It is assumed that he had been “out of town” during this time.
Psalms 119 – As we obey the little that we do understand, the more God enlarges our capacity to understand. Those that refuse to believe the Bible also refuse to yield to its requirements. If I want to live disobediently I will manipulate my time and obfuscate my need, so that I will not have time to read the Bible. The Word of God surfaces those things in your life that are not right. When I obey the truth God purifies my heart. This chapter is divided into 22 parts representing letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Each part of 8 verses each begin with the same letter.
