Psalms 119:27 Make me to understand the way of Your Commandments, and I will speak of Your wonderful works.
Bible Reading for September 18 (ONPP)
Jeremiah 7 – 9, Psalms 74
Jeremiah 7:4 – Don’t fool yourself! God’s temple is in Jerusalem, but that doesn’t mean He will protect you. You may go to church but that doesn’t mean you are saved any more than standing in a hospital makes you a doctor or nurse. In fact you may be the patient that needs the help that the doctor or nurse has the ability to provide or you could be just a visitor that wants no help for yourself.
Jeremiah 7:5 – God is always ready to provide protection for those that honor Him. The BIG IF is here with an abundance of promise waiting to be fulfilled to you.
Jeremiah 7:11 – Even the temple has been given God’s name in vain. No real worship of Jehovah is there.
Jeremiah 7:16 – Some people are so wicked and deceived that they will not turn to Jehovah for salvation. For them God says that it is useless to pray for them for it is not His will to accept those that reject Him. But, the BIG IF you turn from your wicked ways to Jehovah for salvation He will hear you and account the ransom of death that Jesus paid to your account of righteousness. Thus you have turned away from rejecting God.
Jeremiah 8:8
Proverbs 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear Jehovah and depart from evil.
Proverbs 26:12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
Jeremiah 9:26 – A Heart not circumcised of blood, the blood that circumcised the doorposts and lintel in Egypt the blood of Jesus to circumcise our heart through His sacrifice.
Psalms 74:13–14 – These verses seem to refer to the Exodus from Egypt where Israel crossed the Red Sea on dry ground and the Egyptian soldiers (sea–monsters) were drowned. The leviathan refers to the Pharaoh which there were several during the time of Israel’s slavery in Egypt.
