Psalms 119:27 Make me to understand the way of Your Commandments, and I will speak of Your wonderful works.
Bible Reading for September 24 (ONPP)
Jeremiah 19 – 22, Psalms 79
Jeremiah 19:5 – These people performed post birth abortion, or more straightforward they murdered their children for religion. Were they trying to recreate the Passover in Egypt without protection or were they trying to offer what is most precious to try to appease the god of this world (Satan) to keep them safe.
Jeremiah 20:8 – Jeremiah’s words from God were not received with fear but hatred. Jesus’s words were not received by the leadership with fear but hatred. God’s Word of forgiveness today is also hated because their self–righteousness will not allow them to believe in their sin or the need to have a ransom paid for it.
Jeremiah 20:10 – This is the second time Jeremiah has prophesied the time of Israel’s return. And in Isaiah 44:28 “who says of Cyrus, He is My shepherd, and shall do all My pleasure; even saying to Jerusalem, You shall be built; and to the temple, Your foundation shall be laid.”
Jeremiah 20:10–11 – Yes Lord let also those that want to harm your people be lost in their actions and unable to do them harm.
Jeremiah 20:14–18 – Job had the same feeling in chapter 3 when he was struck with sickness.
Jeremiah 21:9 – God is giving them a narrow path to follow. A path with only two choices just like in the Garden of Eden. A path for life and a path for death. To leave the defiled city and live or stay and die. It all depends on whether you believe God or not.
Jeremiah 22:4 – God is so merciful to the line of David. Even now if they would turn back to Him the kingdom would not be totally lost and the House of David will still stand.
Jeremiah 22:30 – Remember the If in I Kings 2:4 or I Kings 8:25 or II Chronicles 6:16. David’s descendants failed.
